My first Blogger Event

So, after a long debate of whether or not to join other bloggers in an afternoon of -revelry, camaraderie, learning and free product to review- I finally made the plunge and spent an afternoon at the First Annual Discovering Mas event.

I was enamored by Monique Frausto's commitment to create an event that brought "Latina bloggers in Los Angeles together" for an afternoon of learning and fun.

Although the event hosted two "industry" experts, the highlight of the afternoon was meeting women that until that afternoon, were a simple Twitter handle, email address or voice on the other end of the phone.

From industry insight, to personal experiences as a Latina, MY prize was to spend time with Gina Ruiz, Ana Flores, Jes Valle, Eva Smith, Yvonne Condes, to name a few!

It is because of this experience that I am looking forward to the next time we all reconvene for another afternoon of Latina sisterhood!
