Facial Wash
Your first step to a
healthy and glowing skin is keeping your face clean of oil build up and dirt.
You can do this by washing your face twice a day, once when you wake up and
once before you go to bed. There are many facial washes on the market, but all
you need for this is a mild soap.
Rinse your face with
warm water, lather it well and rinse off again. Always pat dry, never rub it
dry and then you have a clean face. The evening wash is essential to remove any
leftover make up and to leave the skin clean to breathe during the night, your
skin needs to breathe, the pores will clog otherwise and lead to unwanted
pimples, black heads and spots.
Cleanse
You should use a
cleanser at least once a day; make this part of your morning routine. After
your face has been washing in a mild soap you can apply the cleanser and using
a cotton ball, wipe away any excess build up and dirt. Cleansers work deep
down, cleaning out the pores which in turn, e.
Moisturize
Moisturizing your
skin is an essential part of your daily routine. It should be a part of your
skin care regimen that you do each morning. Moisturizers help reduce oil build
up, oil is generally built up when the skin in dry and is trying to compensate
for that dryness.
Use circular motions
when applying your moisturizer and work upwards rather than pulling down on
your face, remember to do your neck as well. Moisturizers also reduce the
effects of aging, such as wrinkles and fine lines, so it is a useful product to
have in the home.
Try and find a
moisturizer with a minimum SPF15, the reason for this is it offers an immediate
sun protection, so you know you have protection the minute you leave the house.
Exfoliation
You should exfoliate
your skin once or twice per week, depending on your age and skin type. You can
use anything for exfoliation from a daily exfoliating face wash to a face mask,
which you can apply, let it work deep into the pores and then remove it again.
Exfoliating the skin
removes unwanted oils and dirt from the pores and leaves you skin feeling smooth
and fresh.
Remove the
Make Up
It’s been a long
night and you get home, plop on the bed fully clothed and fall asleep. It
happens to all of us at some point, but you need to remove your make up before
you collapse into bed each night. It’s not the mascara which is dangerous to
your skin overnight, it’s the powder, the foundation. You need to have a makeup
remover available at all times and carefully remove all the makeup and finish
off which a face wash before heading to bed.
Your skin needs to
breathe at night and it can’t do this with a foundation or powder covering the
pores, this can lead to unwanted blackheads, pimples and acne. Taking the time
to remove the make up at the end of the day and allowing your skin to breathe
can make the world of difference to your overall skin health.
If you want to enjoy
a clean and healthy skin then you need to put a skin care routine into place,
it doesn’t have to be the most expensive products you can find, just taking the
time to wash you face twice a day, exfoliate regularly, moisturize and remove
make up is all you need to a healthy glowing skin.
