Why Cabeza de Coco?
Cabeza de Coco is loosely translated into English as coconut head; but not in the physical sense. A coconut (or Coco) in the Latino culture is someone that is Latino by birth, but is viewed as having an Anglo or American way of life: Brown on the outside, white on the inside.

Most Latinos would consider being called a coconut offensive, while I find it quite comical. How can anyones lifestyle or life choices be pegged as being either brown or white?

About Cabeza de Coco Blog:
Cabeza de Coco (or Coco Blog) is a lifestyle blog that features my personal observations on a number of topics, while embracing a lifestyle that is uniquely my own.

Expect to find...Beauty reviews that delay the signs the aging, to yummy recipes that will delight everyone. Luxury travel and age appropriate fashion, to, of course career and relationship tips. Living with our furry babies, and loving our life...all while living beautifully.

About Me:
By day, I'm a returning college student, media entrepreneur, writer/director, photographer and founder of the Latina Lifestyle Bloggers Collective (#LLBLOG) and the Lifestyle Bloggers National Conference.

I also have extensive PR and marketing experience working with leading fashion, entertainment and beauty brands. (My resume and experience can be viewed here.)

By night, I'm a self-proclaimed home chef, foodie, expert shopper and admirer of all things pretty. I live in West Los Angeles with my hubby and Boston Terrier, Princess Maya Candice.

Work with Me:
  • I'm very selective on the brands that I work with and only partner with companies and products that are a fit for Cabeza de Coco/Coco Blog and my readers.
  • Although I'm open to trying-out the products sent to me, most of the products shared on my blog are purchased by me.
  • Product submissions are welcome, but unless agreed-upon, reviews are not guaranteed.
  • Paid reviews, advertorials, product sampling/gifts and guest posts are clearly noted in the interest of transparency and to keep our friends at the FTC happy.
